Although ArchivesSpace is free to download and use, ArchivesSpace does have a membership model to support the continuing development of the application and support its community. 

If your institution is an ArchivesSpace member, there are many benefits available to you that will help as you begin using ArchivesSpace.  The primary ArchivesSpace member benefits are listed below. Listservs

ArchivesSpace maintains several member listservs for staff of all member organizations to ask and answer questions, share techniques, receive announcements of activities and events, and discuss anything else related to ArchivesSpace. Access to the User Group listserv and Small Archives listserv are available to all staff from ArchivesSpace member institutions. 

Help Center

ArchivesSpace members also have access to the ArchivesSpace Help Center. This is where staff can access the user manual, training videos, and other member-only resources. To access the Help Center, users will need a Confluence.  You can create an account by following the steps on the Atlassian Confluence Account Creation Page. If you already have a Confluence account, you can simply log in through this page instead of creating a new account. 

We will receive notification of the new account and will add access to the Help Center within 1-2 business days.  You can find more information about managing your Confluence account here and information about our new help center and how to access it here.

Technical Support

Members are also entitled to technical support aimed at helping get going and get the most out of the application. The process for getting technical support and what is included is described here.

Member Events

Members are also entitled to attend member events, including our annual and regional forums.  You can learn about previous and upcoming events at https://archivesspace.org/archivesspace-forums.
